A thick liquid filling machine can accurately and repeatably fill not only free-flowing products like water but also high-viscosity products from detergent, shampoo, honey and sauce to olive oil. As viscosity increases, the filling system also differs from that used for thin liquids.
How does viscosity affect the filling system?
Thin liquids are easily filled using volumetric methods, while thick products have different flow rates and bubble behavior. For this reason, flowmeter or weight-based filling modes maintain accuracy even with thick products.
Nozzles and self-priming systems
The right nozzle design and self-priming systems are critical for thick products. A correctly selected nozzle prevents dripping and leakage, while a self-priming system ensures smooth filling from the start.
Filling accuracy and recipe management
The SORM series offers filling accuracy of up to 0.5% and stored recipes for fast changeovers between products of different densities. Once the right parameters are defined for each recipe, they are repeated identically in later shifts.
The AISI 304/316 stainless steel body supports hygienic, long-lasting filling of thick products from food to chemicals.
